Continuous residency since obtaining your GC

Hi,

I got my GC on 1/5/2007. For my higher studies i had to leave for England on 9/18/2007 and upon finishing my studies i entered the US on 9/5/2008. (Less than 365 days). I for a safer side, i applied for a Travel document before i left US. My question is, will that stay in England of less than 365 days would break my continuous residency since obtaining my GC? I though, if you stay more than 365 days, will affect continuous residency since obtaining your GC. am i wrong here?

A stay outside US between 6 months and less than 12 months presumes a break in continuous residency unless you can prove otherwise, whereas a trip of more than 12 months automatically breaks continuous residency.
