Continuous Residence for 7 months trip.

Hi,
I had my green card July 2006 then left the country August 2006 to sell my house in my home country and finish the move, but it took me 7 months to sell my house. I came back February 2007 - from then I just leave the country for vacation once a year for 2 weeks.

my 7 months trip did break the continuous residence rule.
Now I have 4 years and 5 months of continuous residency.
Does the rule of 4 years and 1 day can be applied to my case or should I wait for 4 years and 9 months?

Thank you for your help.

It would be better to wait for 4 year 9 months if you're not in a hurry. The 4 year 1 day rule would only apply if the interviewer considers that you established permanent residency for the 1 month you were here before you left. They can say that you did NOT establish it properly until you returned after the long trip, and then you'll be denied. So, if you can, wait.
