Continuous residence & 90 days early count

If you were a few days out of the country should they be added to 90 day before apply rule?
For example 5 days out of the country, then you may only apply 85 days before not 90?

Short trips do not break continuous residence, hence the up to 90 day early filing grace period can be applied before reaching statutory continuous residency requirement as a LPR. However, it is recommended to apply a few days later (~85 days) in order to avoid potential calculation discrepancies by USCIS.
