continious residence with trips > 6 month

Hello to everyone.

I am filling my N400 and I have a bad feeling about my continuous residence.
Here is my trip history

I was a student at Medical School since 1997
Became P-resident in sept 2000.
Came in Sept 2000 to US and left within a month to continue my education
Came again in July 2001 and within a month left to continue my education
Came again in July 2002 and within a month left to complete my education
came in July 2003 and since then I didn't take any trips longer that 1 month

According to rules I have to prove that I didn't disrupt my residency. I will bring Mortgage stubs that my family played. Personally I didn't play any mortgage for that house, because I didn't have any income 2000-2003. So my family owns a house. I was listed in Taxes 2000-2003, so I will bring those too. Also I will bring a Diploma and letter from a Dean saying that I adhered to curriculum.
Do you think that would help to prove that I resided here and left the USA only for educational purpose?
Please advice me about my situation. I am really desperate. I have a wife in other country which can't come here. I have a bad feeling about this continious residency.

Sorry to say but you really did disrupt your residency several times. Proving otherwise will be very hard, if not impossible. My advice would be save your $400, because if you apply now you'll most likely be denied.

Assuming you don't break residency again, you will be eligible 4 years + 1 day from the date you returned to the US in July 2003. At that time you will also be able to utilize the 90 day rule, so I estimate you can apply somewhen around May 2007.

I don't think you can combine the 90 days with the 4 years+1 day rule.

Hi Alex,

You are right. You will have to apply under 4+1 but you cannot take advantage of the 90 policy. If you apply 90 days prior to 4+1, they will deny your application.

Cheers!

Despite that I had trips outside of USA longer than 6 mo in 2000, 2001, 2003, still I was aprooved for citizenship. Buffalo precessing center is COOOOL!!!! Oficer was so nice. Total processing time from aplication till Oath is 4 mo !!!! :D

Congrats, you have successfuly traveled that grey area between 6 months and 1 year. Not many people are that lucky. The burden to prove that you have not broken your continous residence is on the individual, and you did just that. Did the officer look at the letter from your Dean, and your diploma?
