Contacting Ombudsman ...Good Idea ???

I am thinking of contacting ombudsman.
Has any one ever got a favourable reponse or has any one benfitted bu doing that or is it just going to be an exercise in futility.

CIS Ombudsman encouraged anyone with an unusual experience regarding her/his case to submit DHS Form 7001, with specific case information

I did ...

and i got a generic response regarding how important "security clearance was to america and so on and on ...apologies too "sorry for your delay yadda yadda yadda "


so in short ....a futile exercise but a necessary one ...
