Contacting Congressman or Senator

Hi friends,

Do I need to inform my lawyer that I am doing status inquiry on my I-140 with congressman or senator ?

If the attorney is an employer attorney, I have seen that they don't entertain the beneficiary contacting the senator/congressman (for reasons known only to them). If you are paying for your own attorney, he would encourage to contact them.

But contacting congressman/senator is your own choice... it is not required to inform them. But if your attorney had been courteous enough to you, there is no harm in letting them know your activities.

I agree with you (dynobuoy) , becs when I called my lawyer and told about this. She told me that I should wait till they finish thr inquiry with USCIS.
Any way I Did send all information to Senator today, I don't think, there is no harm in ths.
Dynobuoy - Alien Registration Number is same which is on EAD and Finger Printing Notice Letter ?

Yes that is correct. A# is the same for all applications. When contacting senators office / congressmans office they would ask for this number. Quote this number on all your enquires.
