contact info for FBI immigration background and security check?

A pending asylee who got recommended asylum approval is stuck and can't receive full asylum approval from USCIS cos of the delay in background checks.
I wrote to USCIS asylum office 4 times and they keep telling me it's all due to the background check and they are waiting for it.

Is this also the FBI background security and name check?

Please give me contact number and email of the agency who handles asylum background check.

I read fom somewhere that you can't contact the FBI directly. Anyway which state are you located. Tell me so that I can give you the contact details of FBI office in that state. Have you applied and receive your EAD and social security card?
 
ead applied over a month ago and not received. no ss without having ead first.

so sick and tired of it. state is illinois. need fbi contact info .

Get intouch with them and lets know what is happening. Its more than 30days since you applied for the EAD and they have not send it to you so go to the Asylum office with the EAD receipt and they will issue u an interim EAD document.

got recommended approval on march 2008. biometrics taken in Nov 2007.
Blute thanks but i don't think background,security checks are done by fBI office in Chicago.

I think this is all about the so called FBI NAME CHECK and FBI finger print check.
I contacted the FBI name check on their phone, but the automatic response say they no longer accept phone calls, emails or mails inquiring about name check status or result so that means there is no way of knowing when in the world we will know the name check will be done and forward to asylum office.
About the fBI fingerprint check results, they do accept calls as well as emails and I did email and hope to get an answer soon about whether the fingerprint is checked and result is sent to asylum office or not, however it says that they won't tell you the result was good or bad.

There is absolutely no criminal records, not even any history of arrests, and also the name is very unfamileir and very different to most people in the world.
so still don't know why the banground check is not completed.

It is absolutley PREPOSTEROUS and OUTRAGEOUS that YOU have to wait a whole FIVE months for some "supposed" final background check!!!!!!!! Since you are so dedicated in contacting USCIS on the average of once a month, you REALLY should get your final approval!!!! Also, even though they stopped issuing EAD's at USCIS offices, you should go in person and DEMAND that they issue you an interim EAD. It should not matter that you are still considered an Asylum applicant and can only APPLY for your EAD after 150 days after you applied for Asylum!!!!!!!! WTF are they thinking?!!?!

My suggestion to you jonny1, is to write AND call the FBI at least once a week. (More often if you have the time!!!) And while you're at it, do the same to USCIS!! And I think you can even FAX the Asylum office where you got your interview! The more faxes the better. Make sure you send a copy of the fax to the Asylum office director as well.

Also, please, PLEASE keep us informed about the lawsuit you are filing against the FBI and USCIS. Please let us know if you receive any type of messages from the USCIS, FBI, or (ICE hopefully). If I had the time and money, I would sue them twice, just to REALLY let them know I mean business! Good luck!

I received an email response from FBI which says
This was complete and sent to them on 11-7-2007.

I contacted the FBI fingerprint department at LIAISON@LEO.GOV.
Now the reason I think USCIS can't approve the final asylum is because they have not received the FBI NAME CHECK result.

as you guys know fingerprint and name check are totally different.

FBI NAME CHECK don't accept calls, emails or letters from people who ask for their name check result.
So that's bad.
If I can contact the FBI NAME CHECK agency and they told me your result are sent to USCIS already, I'd have forwarded their response email and ask the USCIS to complete my case as they are already received the results.

What I should do about the NAME CHECK I have no idea.
I intend to ask my local democratic US congresswoman but I hear that congressman are very reluctant to talk these matters to FBI.
 
Thats a great move. I read from somewhere that members of the congress can't fasten up anything. That the only way is to keep contacting the Asylum Office and especially the Asylum director.
What about your EAD has it come yet, did you have a receipt number and what does it say at their website? also since its more than 30days why don't you want to contact the asylum office and get an interim EAD? Its better to have something doing before waiting for your final approval.
I don't why this background and security check so long to be cleared.
 
chicago fbi office had no idea what i was talking about. told me to contact washington fbi instead. he had no clue about name checks.
