Write to official AILA immigration president resolve 485 delay!!
immigrant88 - 08:56am Aug 9, 2001 EST
I have been in contact with a few key AILA persons and here is what I found: (AILA is the America
Immigration Lawyer Association and they hold bi-weekly liaison meetings with all INS service centers
including TSC to address all sorts of processing issues, including I-485!!!)
1. Douglas Stump (dstump@usvisagroup.com): AILA TSC liaison Chairman. He IS THE MAN to address 485
issues to TSC. But, he fails to realize 485 processing delay issue and seems reluctant to address the issue
to TSC. Let\'s change his mind by all writing email to him!!!
2. Steve Ladik (SLadik@jenkens.com): AILA national president. He acknowledged the issue and agreed to
raise this issue to Douglas Stump as ultimately, Douglas is the one to talk to TSC. Steve can influence
Doug, let\'s write to him as well to show how severe the problem is!!
3. Silvia Graves (SilviaGraves@compuserve.com): AILA TX Chapter president. She also acknowledged the
issue and agreed to raise this issue to Douglas Stump. She can also influence Doug, let\'s write to her to
show the severity of the problem!!
4. Jeanne Butterfield (jbutterfield@aila.org): AILA Executive Director. She acknowledged the issue and said
they were working on it. How much attention they put into it?? Don\'t know, by us all writing to them, they
may start to pay enough attention!!!
5. Crystal Williams (cwilliams@aila.org): AILA spokeperson. No reply from him.
6. Nadine Wettstein (nwettstein@ailf.org): AILA Legal. No reply.
7. Amy Novick (anovick@aila.org). AILA Deputy Director. No reply.
Let\'s all write to these folks and voice your concerns, feelings and frustrations. As INS new Commissioner
just arrived, we may stand a chance to influence AILA and eventully to the new commissioner and TSC!!!

It looks like TSC is still continuing it\'s saga of approving cases all over the board. I heard in the last couple of weeks cases applied in May 1999 and also March 2000, both EB3 , INDIA. My RD is September 1999. I don\'t understand what is so difficult to work on cases in the order they receive.
Thanks,
