Consulate response...November Interview

Has anybody got any reply from the Chennai consulate regarding November interview ?

When I sent an email in the 1st week of Sept, they asked me to send an email during the last week of September. Its been 5 days since I sent them but no response.

Next week is when the november interview will get finalized! So expect an email response next week or feel free to call your consulate between 9am - 4pm M-F. I never got email response but called them and was immedicately given an update that my interview was scheduled for late october. So try phone instead of email!

I just received an email response from the consulate.

The reply was

"We have requested for numbers and the appointment is likely to be in November. "

I wonder what the "numbers" are......

Every month each consulate requests for and gets a certain
number of visas from the Department of State (I believe).

This is just a background procedure, and we need not be concerned about this.

I received mail today :
'The exact date will be known after October 12.'

DUH!!
