My employer has filed I-824 to move my approved I-140 case to NVC for CP. I-824 has been pending now almost 10 months. Just recently came across an article that said I can still go ahead and apply for CP with a copy of I-824. But I don't have original I-140 or the copy of the petition that was filed in support of I-140. Attorney or my employer doesn't have it either. If I want to move ahead with CP instead of wating for I-824 to approve, would I need original I-140 or a copy of it along with original job offer letter from my employer would be acceptable to the consulate?
