Consular processing for parents: Form DS-230 or I485

Sorry guys, I have gone thru the thread for consular processing and just want to confirm the following. I am a USC residing in the US and my parents are abroad so we have to do consular processing.
1. Do we file the I130, G325a and the Form DS-230? Or do we file the I485 for them???? They will go thru the Johannesburg consulate.

2. Also, do I as the petitioner have to submit fingerprints and go thru FBI name check again or is my journey now over as I am a USC. Is there only fingerprinting, fbi name check and police clearance required for my parents?

1. You file only I-130 for now (I-485 is for AOS).
2. No, your journey is over. You'll find out about the step by step process after you file I-130.
 
thank you :) I have gone through that thread and a bit confused as English is not my first language. I thought that as we are doing consular processing they need a ds-230 not an i485?

Does it say anywhere you need to file I-485 for CP?

Hello Anahit not that I could find. That is the thing....sometimes the good people on this board know more than uscis. I couldn't find anything about CP and the I485. only the ds230.

Again, CP and I-485 have no connection, whatsoever...
