Consular processing at Chennai

Regarding consular processing for physicians in India. I am working on my Waiver job in an underserved area.
Regarding consular processing in Chennai via Labor Cert based pathway, What is the back up or fall back if god forbid the application for consular processing is rejected for any reason in Chennai? Would I be able to get back to the USA?
Is it possible to get advance parole based on a pending I485 application (via the NIW approval) and use that to travel to India and get back in case something goes wrong with my Labor cert based consular processing? Or is it not possible to get the parole at all considering the news I heard that the INS would abandon teh old I485 application if I filed a new one?
What is the scene?
What precautions have members of this board taken to ensure that CP does not get denied and what precautions would be warranted should it be denied out in Chennai?

once its denied thats it. U cant get back in. But if your case is clear cut then thats it. U get your GC
