Consular Processing and salary is not same as LC

CP processing & salary is not same as LC

Packet 3 has been received. And i came to know that if the salary is not same as LC then my GC could be rejected. My employer says that it would be rejected and so suggested me to go for AOS. Does anybody has gone through this. Please let me know. I want to know as early as possible.

Thanks in Advance.

Is the salary less than that specified in LC ?

From this board I understood that the salary should not be less than that specified in LC (may be 5% less). If your salary is greater that is okay...

Guys..please correct me if I am wrong.

Salaray is reduced by 15%

The salary is reduced. But I have a same job title. If it is reduced by 15%, I wont get green card.

Please dont get paranoid

I was in a similar situation, the GC is for a future position
so try to get the employment letter saying that the salary for
your position will be the LC salary once you get the GC.
Employers always try to bull shit about these issues, even if they
dont have the intention of the hike, try to convince them. CP is a
very smooth and fast process and save yourself the waiting times with AOS.

No Title

I too had similar problem and I am in the process of getting the required hike and already wasted 4 months to send pkt 3 to consulate, waiting for this hike.

Thanks GC Despo

Please dont take it wrong. When you filed for CP, your salary was less. Did they ask you anything after seeing the paystubs ?

You should be ok

I have not heard of anything abt specific salaray reduction than LC. But if you have the letter from employer then during interview u should be ok. Has anyone received any inquiries when applied for CP because of this. I know i had some friends though CP with similar issue but had made sure to take the letter from employer and they should be cool. Thats my two cents. Hope this helps.
