Hi friends,

Does any one know whether congressmen/senators
can help in speeding up the case if it already late as per the
processing times and the priority date is current.
I am in such a situation.

Any experiences with them. Please share and advise. Thanks.

They do help you relax for a while ....

They can NOT help SPEED UP your case. However you should try them. They may help you get some answers.

Hi cool_blue,
What information do we need to provide the congressman for finding out if the namecheck is completed or not?
Name, A#, EAC#, DOB anything else?

Whom should we ask them to contact?

If you have a sample letter please post it, it would be very helpful.

Thanks in advance.

Please help on how/where I should send the letter to Senator

Dear friends and gurus of the forum,

Special thanks to NY-NIW for providing a sample format-

I am one of those 'waiting for 485 people after the PD became current several months ago'

I am seeking your help in understanding a few things/terms as I am not familiar with the political system/structure in the US.I live in the state of NH.I am looking at the NH state's Congressional delegation list and I see 2 different sets of groups/people on their website: http://www.nh.gov/nhcong/

Members of the House of Representatives- 2 people
Members of the Senate - 2 people

Who I should contact,I mean, the House of Rep's or a member of senate. I am assuming that I have to contact a member of 'Senate'.Is that true?

-Does it matter/How do I choose to which senator I should write a letter to? any clues?

-Is the word 'senator' a subset of the word 'congressmen'? OR are they different ?

-Finally, there are multiple offices listed on the website for the senator in the same state(NH).How do I know where I should mail the letter to in NH?
FYI..4 cities/addresses listed in NH

Could you provide this information so that I can write a letter to the congressional delegate and see what happens.

Do we have to provide any details other than the following:

Name: xxxxxxx
A number
I-485 EAC-xxxxxxxxx
Receipt Date
Service Center

I really appreciate it if you could provide the above information.

Thank you in advance,
-Sai
