Confusion regarding FP Fee

I am bit confused.
I have paid only $236 for I485 filing in May'03 as suggested by lawyer.

I have not heard anything about FP so far from UCIS.

I understood that FP Fee is to be paid at the time of Finger Printing.

Is it true?

And how come there is difference in I 485 filing fee other guys are paying.

Most applicants include the FP fee along with the 485 filing fee. If you dont, BCIS might get back to you asking you to pay that fee. But it is better to include it upfront.

With reference to your previous posting and current thread....
Not just me others also asked you whether did you recieve a reciept notice. You did not answer. There are experts in this forum (not me) who silently observe . They will be able to suggest...

If so I apologize for that.

I did receive receipt notice and on-line matter was..

"Your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status was received on May 28, 2003. We mailed you a receipt with information about processing. It is taking between 570 and 600 days for us to process this kind of case. We will mail you a decision as soon as processing is complete. "
