Confusion about Full Middle name on N-400

My Middle Name is: Kumar

When I received my Green card it had my Middle Initial: K

On N-400 application there is a question that says: "Write your name as it appears on the green card?" Then it goes on to say "Full Middle Name"....

So I am kind of confused. Should I put my Middle Initial (as that is what appears on the Green card) OR should I put my Full Middle Name as N-400 asks (but would contradict N-400).

Does anyone else have only their middle initial on the GC? If so...what did you write on your N-400.

Write your full entire name (including full middle name) on application.Don't beat yourself up by making it more complicated than it is.

On my GC, it was showing middle initial on the top and middle name at the buttom. But I put middle name in the application.

right..if you look at bar code line below in front page for GC, you will see the full middle name.

also, check prior approval notices/correspondence docs, USCIS usually uses full name.

There are two separate questions, one for your full legal name, and another for your name as written on the green card. They know that those are often different, that's why they have different questions. Write your full middle name for the first question, and your middle initial for the "name as displayed on your green card" question.
