Hi Gurus,

Just got this email from USCIS

On January 13, 2005, we mailed you a notice that we certified our
approval of this case and sent it to the appellate body for review. The
notice explains in detail the basis for this proposed action. If 14 days
have passed and you have not received this notice, you may wish to verify
or update your address. To update your address, please call the
National Customer Service Center at (800) 375-5283.

I called up USCIS and the person there was not able to fully explain the meaning of "sent it to the appellate body for review".I would appreciate if anyone could make something out of this message.
Thanks.

Could you please post your case details with Category/Country, PD, RD, ND, FP etc.... that will give a very good idea to have people give a thought and provide thier feedback.

Thank you everyone for sharing the helpful information during this long journey and I sincerely hope that everyone gets their approval soon.

I had a question regarding "GC Passport Stamping ":
Is it possible to do passport stamping in a state which comes under a different service center eg. can one get his passport stamped in TX if his case has been approved in VSC??
Thanks in advance.

YES. You need to go to the nearest USCIS local office. Take an info pass appointment. When you do that it will pick up the office for you based on your ZIP code. FYI, my case got approved from VSC and I got my passport stamped from San Antonio, TX.

Thank you dazzling for the info.
I haven't got the approval letter in mail as yet but what I hear from people is that the USCIS will give us the center name where I need to go for passport stamping. But since you have already done in TX although you got approved in VSC so it must be doable.
I was wondering if you had changed your address with CIS ?

USCIS DOES NOT give the name of the place in the approval notice. Whoever told you this was bu**s**tting. They just ask you to take a info pass appointment with the nearest office of your convenience. It also does not matter where your address is. So you could have a address in California, get approved from VSC and get your passport stamped from Dallas. I know two such people who had their GC approved from CSC and were transferred to my project from another project in CA, did not change their address and got their stamping done in San Antonio.
