Confused state....Myladoor, Oct2000, Bhanu ......Please help

I am waiting for approval after INS received an RFE on 1st may.
My I-94 expired on 14 Feb, H-1 expired on 14 April\'2001 BUT filed
again for renewal on 22 nd march 2001.
 My Question :- 1) Am I ok with status as I filed my new H-1 after I-94 expired but before the expiry of H-1.
                2) Secondly what will happen if I go for stamping of passport after approval since those will see my I-94 amd H-1 and visa everything expired.??????

For Question 1) You are not out of status since you filed for your
renewal well before your H1 is set to expire. As long as you have a
receipt notice saying that, you are fine.

For Question 2) Please take your receipt notice (don\'t know if a original receipt notice is required...but, would certainly help taking one) and show it to them, IF they ask about the H1 expiration...and that should resolve any questions, they may have...

I agree with srini123. There is nothing to worry about your I-94 expiration at this point of time. Your status is AOS now, they may ask your I-94 to make sure that you are examined and allowed to stay in US when you last entered into this country.
