Confused regarding AOS, please help

I have a question. I am a DV 2009 lottery winner and currently on F1 visa in US (actually opt). If my number currents in June (in April bulletin), when can I can apply for AOS, April or June?
Just to make sure, please let me know if it is true:
as long as I have not left US or I have not applied for AOS, my F1 status is valid and has not influenced by DV (although I have filled DV forms such as DS230).

1. When your # becomes current (June), however you can do it earlier than that if you choose (April/may).
2. Correct, once they receive your AOS application they automatically assume that you have denounced your F1 status.

Thank you F1winner. As I know if I apply very soon it would be rejected. Is April considered soon or it is ok (I do not get rejection)?

End of April will be just fine if u're number will be current in june
