Confused, please help.

I am from India.

I am all confused now. The PD for my application (EB3) is 09/26/2001. I filled for my I-485 and I-140 on 12//02/2003. Got I-140 approved on 10/29/2004. Got FP done on 12/04/2004. The LUD on my I-485 changed only once and that is on 12/06/2004 stating that the results of my fingerprint has been received and the processing has resumed on my case.
After this there was no change in I-485 status, while I see that the people who have applied I-485 after me and have PD after me are getting approved.
Any idea how's USCIS is handling the applications, I mean what's the sequence :
FP --> PD ---> I-485 RD? Confused now. Please clarify.

dont worry, wait for sometime, you'll get your approval soon
 
Current trend we are seeing is that VSC is processing cases with PD < 01/2002 .... Not sure this may change....This good news for people like you !!!

I do not mean to dishearten you ... but ...
when dealing with CIS, if you find any cases approved after your RD, that does not mean anything. If you have been around the forums for a while or searched (read) through some posts here, you would realize that the processing is NOT exactly FIFO. It can get quite random.
Your RD is Dec 2003. So, no need for you to panic yet. Give it some time .. forget about it for some time .. and one day you will see it happen ..

I am in the same boat. People with 485 RD after me have been approved. People who did FP on same day as me have been approved.

I think it total Chaos up there at VSC
