Confused on my case

I took infopass and met an officer today. She simply saw the online status message and saying that
my security clearance is pending. And she gave me a fact sheet, asked me to read it.

My status message online is: "Review of the fingerprints taken relating to this I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS has been completed. Processing of this case continues."
For my wife: "On October 29, 2003, we received this I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS, and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case."

Based on what she says so? Any idea? I requested them to approve my case using Cross-Chargeability on May 02nd.

My friend used sub labor and he got the GC within 8 months. How come security clearance done for him so quick?

Renewed 4 EAD, 4 AP. Gave 4 times FP.

Security check they mentioned means Name Check. Your online message is for Finger Print. FP takes 1-2 day to clear, while NC takes several months to several years.

Same with me . When i called in Oct 2006 , i got a mail which said waiting for visa . In feb 2007 when i called I got a mail saying background check pending .

Last week I took info pass and went to local INS , just to see if they can give some more info . But no use , they didnt know anything .It was waste of time

Who knows what goes behind the scene . I'll contact senator's office on 1st June , when the date becomes current.

I don't have any fix format in which I'm gonna write .My senator's office has a contact person for immigration related issues. I've her email id and will email to her with my info , requesting her to help me out . That should do .

In past one of my friends did ask for the help and she helped him . Once they accept the case , they also give a case no to track in future .

I would suggest you to do the same . You can check at your senator's website and most probably they will also have something similar .
