Hi,

I have a DOT code which does not matches to my Job desription. I talked to laywer and they said that this dose'nt matters. (Then whats the use of DOT Code?).

I got rejected from RIR. I just want to confirm that who assign the DOT code and what is the process. Can any one please give me a link of the process.

Any idea if I want to talk DOL about this issue what is the better way to handle this issue.

Thanks.

Your lawyer with help of your company fills it or your company may fill it as per your lawyer's advice, whatever maybe the case.

It is mapped with Occ code and Occ Title on lower right hand side of page 1 of form 750A. It should match entry of job description on the same page of same form.

I am not sure if that is the case. I just got a copy of my
ETA750 A/B. The OCC code and Occ title is at the right bottom
and that section is only for Govt use - i.e. DOL fills it.

I, in fact, have a question

In my ETA there are multiple job titles. The first two are filled
by my employer/attorney in columns
9. Name of Job Title - Analyst/Consultant (this has same as
the title I am used to in the company - it's a medium sized
company and there is formal title except for GC matters, I
guess)

14. Related occupation has: Analyst/Programmer

and finally in the endorsments it says software engineer and
the code is also there.

Now, my question is, in BCIS eyes what is my title? I would
guess it has to be one DOL put it in the endorsement. If
I have to use AC21 - are they going to look at only the DOT
code and description? Or, will they look at the other titles
my employer mentioned in LC as well? They could have same or
similar description....or, may be not..

Any thoughts, pleaaaaaaaaase?
