Confused about where sending Applications !!!!

Hello,
I am totallly new in this website....also my wife who is a USC is planning to sponser me ....we live in IOWA by the way

I have read alot threads here in this website ....i have read that people sent all their apps like I-130 ,I-485 everything at chicago lockbox ....but after reading some stuff in USCIS website here what i found

I-130 :

Here is whats in the USCIS site :

above mentioned link it says , since i live in IOWA we have to send out i-130 to nebraska service center .......


I-485 :

According to here it says we have to send out i-485 to chicago lockbox.


SO ACCORDING TO USCIS WEBSITE HERE IS WHAT I CAME UP WITH

I-130 GOES TO NEBRASKA SERVICE CENTER
I-485 GOES TO CHICAGO LOCKBOX
I-765 CAN BE FILED ONLINE

PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF I AM RIGHT HERE ......PLEASE GIVE ME ANY ADVICE ....I WOULD APPRECIATE IT ALOT
 
Everything goes to the Chicago Lockbox in the same envelope.

I would advise you to put the I-765 in with the I-130 and I-485 rather than file online.

Ok i understand i have to send everything to chicago lockbox

but say when we get call for interview do we have to travel to chicago or can we do it here somewhere in iowa?

Your interview will be conducted at your local office.

Chicago Lockbox is just a place where they sort your documents into a folder before sending them to be processed. Basically they cash the checks and stick things in folders, after that the stuff gets forwarded to the National Benefits Center for pre-processing, and then your AOS stuff gets forwarded to your local office for interview and final adjudication.
 
No You don't have to travel to Chicago. You will be interviewed at the Local Office for your area.
