Please go easy on my here, as I'm sure this is a question you get all the time. But I didn't find an answer with a quick search.

Who needs to file for an Employment Authorization Document? I was under the impression that one could work once they recieved permanent residence status. Is this wrong?

If my wife wants to work here after our I-485 process is finished, do we need to be filing an I-765?

No, that's correct.

No. The Green Card is employment authorization.

You wife should file I-765 only if she wants to work BEFORE her GC is approved, not after.
