Confused about conditional greencard

Hi, I'm completely new to this forum. I have a (hopefully) simple question and appreciate any insight you guys can provide.

My husband got his GC (through employment) late last year (after 6 long years of waiting) and I also got one as a beneficiary from our marriage. I had been on H-1B before I got the GC. I kept reading about the fact that you would get a conditional greencard and the need to file form I751 to remove its condition if you got your residence status through marriage. Is that something that is applicable to me? The expiration date on my GC says year 2017, so it seems that I got the "full" permanent residence vs the 2 years that everybody is talking about. I also don't remember seeing anything that says "conditional" from any of the paperwork that I received throughout the process. However, I did get my GC through marriage, though not by marrying a US citizen.

So do I have to file this form I751 when my 2 years anniversary is up? Any insight would be appreciated. Thank you very much.

Conditional green card is for people who have been married for less than 2 years and got their green cards via marriage-based sponsorship.

You didn't really get your green card via marriage; you got it through your husband's employment (the company was the sponsor, not your husband).

Enjoy your 10-year green card.
