Confirmed: FP Notice is valid till 90 days after scheduled date

Hi guys,

FYI: While getting our FP done this week, we confirmed with the INS Officer that one can show upto 90 days "after" the scheduled date and get FP done without any problems. Ofcourse, it is best to get FP done earlier or on time as per schedule but in case that is not possible (we had to cut our abroad visit short), u can always take advantage of the grace period.

What service center is this for?

Hi,

I had my fingerprinted scheduled in California for Saturday April 5, 2003 and I could not make it since I was in Florida. Could you please tell me what service center this rule applies to and which INS office you confirmed it from?

I had confirmed this with the INS center in Atlanta though have read similar post from other users from other regions as well. U should call ur local INS office (look up their number in Directory) and confirm the same.

They would typically call such cases on wednesdays and saturdays though mostly take u in anyday if they do not have a long rush.
