Comprehensive Immigration Reform.

Hi Rajiv Sir,
Namaste. I'm just curious to know what's happening to CIR (Comprehensive Immigration Reform).

I read an article on the internet that "Foreign students with advanced degrees (masters or higher) from U.S. educational institutions in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) disciplines would be eligible for immediate permanent residence, based on an employment offer in the respective field."

Kindly let me know if this is true and what month and year will this reform happen that will benefit foreign students with advanced degrees (masters or higher) from U.S. educational institutions.

How to apply for H1b visa through Pakistan

Hi Rajiv,

My name is Imtiaz Hussain and I am from Pakistan. I have done Avionics engineering in 2004 and from last 6 years I am working in Telecom sector.
I have worked in NSN and right now I am working in Telenor Pakistan.
Now my problem is that I want to apply for H1b visa so that I can go and work in USA but I couldn’t find any guidance for my problem. I am the beginner for H1 so kindly help me out and guide me step by step so that I can make my dreams true.

My wife is working for Metropolitan school district for last 8 yrs. she got laid of for next academic year. so,her last working day is going to be June 10,2010. Her GC is under process. She has EAD, but she didn't use her EAD, she is on H1 and I am her husband, who is on H4.( Earlier I was on H1, working for a consultancy came back on to H4 on June 06 2009 )Our visas are valid till Aug 01 2010.We have 2 kids ( 4 and 3 yrs) who are born here in USA(US citizens).

In this situation , what are our options.what my wife got to do. And what are options for me to do.
