Conditional green card

My conditional Green card expires on the 06th of September 2008, i have already done my biometrics and i am now waiting,my online status still says case received on July 31st.However after my Biometrics my case has not been updated yet. What is the category for my status since im waiting?. And shouldnt i be given an extension or something since my card is expiring.

You should have received the notice of action for the I-751 timely filed, extending your status for 1 year.

So as long as my card expires i am absolutely supposed to have an extension before the 6th.What happens if i dont get an extension in time?Should i call uscis?.

As long as your I-751 was received by USCIS before your GC expiry, you are ok.
