Concurrent or Semi concurrent

As of today i can apply for Concurrent Filling, but my wife is going on Vacation to India , so the attorney says that i have to file I140 and wait until my wife returns then file I485 , (since we can't fine 485 when she is out of country), what should i do? wait until she comes back and file concurrent file 140 now and 485 later.

Can the vacation not be canceled or postponed?? I mean..the key is the word 'vacation'...surely you can defer the 'vacation' if it means you get to file concurrent...I am sorry..what is the real problem here???
