Concurrent Filing

I have I-140 application ready. But it will take some more time for me to complete I-485 application.

My question is, Can I apply for I-140 now and do I-485 after 2 months. Will this delay my approval process or any issues out of this ? Pls let me know. Thanks

For I-140s OTHER than NIW, some petitions are getting approved within almost no time (like 2-3 months or so)under some pilot project.

For them, they may take a chance to file together.

But for NIW, I do not think there is any such pilot going on.Hence, it may not really make a difference if you file both of them together or delay the I-485 for another 2 months.However, you never know with USCIS.

Only, if you delay your I-485, your EAD may get delayed incase your going to apply one.
