Concurrent Filing Question:

Registered Users (C)
My intended place of work comes under VSC.
My residence comes under TSC.
My lawyer has filed my I-140/I-485 concurrently at TSC.

Will this kind of filing result in an RFE/Approval/Denial.

Will the INS ask us to withdraw the I-140/I-485 applications and refile it again at VSC (Or) will the INS do an internal transfer of the cases from TSC to VSC - if need be ?

Jim Mills and other experts please help.

Normally INS will do one of two things

1. Kick the petition back without issuing a receipt notice if they detect the error prior to acceptance.

2. Internal transfer to another service center if detected later.

[A] I received the receipt notices for I-485, I-765 and I-131. My company has received the receipt notice for I-140. TSC also has given me an A#. Does this mean that TSC has accepted my concurrently filed application ?

Will the internal transfer from TSC to VSC lead to a new receipt number and new RD / ND ? Will I lose time if the case is internally transferred ?

[C] Can the company & myself request transfer of I-140 / I-485 from TSC to VSC ? Will the files be handled efficiently such that the files are not lost during transit ? Is it a good idea to request transfer ?
