Concurrent Filing I140 & I485 Nebraska Service Center

it is so frustrating that for months and years, you wait without knowing the status of your case and how soon it'll get approved.

FP notice

Hi,
My lawyer has received my fp notice (I have not yet!!!). It came after the senators office asked them as to what happened to my fp? (had filed I-140 and 485 concurrently May 04 and had not fp notice yet).
There has been NO change in the LUD for the same.
Thought will update for the benefit of every one.

Interpreting Visa Bulletin numbers

Hi,
March 2005 Visa bulletin shows the cut off date (for example) for EB3 category for India as 01 March 2002. Does it mean that if a given USCIS cetner is processing the applications in priority date order, all the applications with prioity dates before March 2002 have thier I140 or I485 approved? Or am I just doing wishful thinking? :)

My application is filed with NSC with ND Jan 07 2005 and the priority date is May 2002. EB3 - retorgress affected. Any ideas or estimations on when I140 could be done? I don't see any LUDs yet.

I-485 receipt notice is nice to have thing. I have travelled out of USA twice on my H1 but never been asked about the 485.

If you can get the custody of original 485 receipt notices, why bother about it, get it from your attorney and keep it with you for ever.

Here are my details:
EB3 Retrogression affected - India
Prority Date: 05/2002
I140 and 485 RD: 12/28/2005, ND: 01/07/2005
FP: 02/04/2005
EAD: 02/16/2005

I don't see any LUDs either. Just wondering how long it is taking these days at NSC. Is there any tracker available for this kind for NSC for this time frame?

Please post corrected RD/ND date for I-140 and 485, it should be 2004 and not 2005 I guess. Same here, nothing yet.

Just wanted to update that my EAD has been approved today. (see my signature). So now there is one thing less to worry about. Still waiting...watiing.

Hi,

I saw an I-140 approved around my I-485 number from NSC. Not sure if that pertains to me but the number very very close. I tried USCIS but they refused to provide any information about the company filed or the beneficiary etc.

Any thoughts

Need Advice on where to file EAD

Hi,

I am applying for renewal of EAD on my own. I was checking the EAD document. On the first page it list few categories which needs to file to chicago office.

Since ours is based on adjustment of status we come under (c)(9). However, since it is employement based AOS. Do we still have to file at chicago office. Can we get renewal at our local offices or not or do we have to file at INS Nebraska office.

Will appreciate help on this one..Need reply asap.

Also what documents do we need to submit along with the renewal. Has anybody tried online application. Is applying online a good idea or sending a paper application a good idea?

You have to file with the service center where your I-485 is pending(it would be NSC for you).
IF you send your application to the Chicago Mail box, it will be forwarded to the National benefit Center(same as online filing) >I personally think that paper filing is much more convenient (you don’t have to waste a whole day for fingerprinting) and it is faster. My 3EAD took only 4 weeks

Thanks. Could someone confirm if following documents needs to be sent.

1) Filing Fee check or draft of $175.00
2) Copy of current EAD card.
3) I-485 receipt notice
4) I-797D slip which came with the EAD card.
5) 2 Photographs

I have filed for 6 EAD so far(3 for myself and 3 for my wife).

All you have to do is

1.Regular processing(paper filed)
- Check for the filing fee
- copy of I-485
- 2 passport style photos
- I-765 form
- FIle with the Service center where your I-485 is pending

2.On-line
- payment (credit card or check)
- call to schedule apointment for fingerprints and photos

Paper base is easier and you dont' have to waste a whole day of your time.It is also faster right now(for Nebraska Service Center)
