I am seriously concerned about the speed if INS hires more people. I feel, it is not lack of manpower, but the excessive man power, which is slowing down the process.
I-485 document is hardly 10-15 pages per person. I do not see why it should take so long for them to review. If I have to review these documents, and that's the only thing I do for 8 hrs a day, I can review 50 documents a day without making a single mistake. Speed would be increased manyfolds if process is either partially or fully automated using IT.
Best example is Singapore. I got my GC in Singapore in just two weeks. They have lean and efficient Government staff. They know exactly what is right, what is wrong and how much is enough. That's why they are so efficient.
Please let me know your opinion...
