Concern about obtaining H1B visa

Immigration Gurus,

Posting this for a close friend. She had a gap in her employment once while on H1B status - she was laid off by employer A several years ago; thereafter transferred her H1 to employer B after a gap of about 27 days. Her I-797 from A had an end date of like a year and a half after this event at the time she was laid off; but the I-797 from B has a begin date of 27 days after she was terminated by A. Could that be grounds for denial of a H1B visa now from the US Consulate in her home country, even though she has got H1 stamps twice since that event?

Please advise.

I don't know whether it is ground of denial, but such a case is not uncommon.
I'd say it should be fine.

her old employer could provide a letter sayin she was on unpaid vacation during that period. not needed but better safe than sorry
