I've been married to my wife for just 2 months and my Aos interview is for 12/21/05. We got married in the City Hall and we didn't make any reception, so we don't have pictures, even thought our married is based on love I feel that we don't have all that proves they asking for. I live in her appartment and every single bill is on her name, the only thing I can do for the moment is include her in my credit card, and car insurance, and my personal bills has my wife's address, were we live with her. Do may I feel worried about this, please need advise.

You have to show material proof to the immigration officer in the form of Joint financial responsibility and joint ownership of assets. You could get affidavit from friends or relatives that you are a married couple and they know you well. Also, you could ask your employer for a letter stating that you both are married and their records show your spouses name (You must have filed a W4 to change you marital status)

Hi to everyone

I and my wife have our first interview on nov. 28 (five days form now). We have been going through hard times latelly and she said she won't show up on this interview. I'm desperated. We live (although she "moved out" yesterday on the thanksgiving), have cars, insurance, bussines, everything really on our name. I guess my question is very simple: Is there any hope for me??? Does it make sanse to come to the interview by myself???
If not, what's going to happen to me if I don;t show up? I'm currently illigal.
I will try to contact a loyewr, however

Please help me with any info on this subject !!!

You are going to need wedding photos!!!!!! the reception is no big deal, but wedding photos is a must-must-must.

The interviewer asked my friend why the bills were only in his wife's name and he explained that her credit was in better standing than his. They had other joint statements, but the utility bills were in her name. She happily walked out with a stamp in her passport. This happened in October 2005.

Good idea to contact a lawyer- but you are going to need your wife. Hopefully she will cool off in a couple of days. You might want to buy a huge bouquet of flowers- take her to dinner- pray-do whatever you need to do and agree with every single word she says.

If you don't show up at the interview that will consider abandonment of your case and your case will be denied. What de you mean with "illegal" here?
Good luck,

thanks for quick response

I know this seems to be the easy way to get it done but I didn't mention that she has bipolar disorder. I knew that she had problems with herself when I met her. It wasn't a big deal for me at that time; she was sweat, very beautyful (still is), and still sufferd from her first divorce (or at least I thought so). She told me that the guy merried her only for papers.(it happened to be a guy who was also getting a GC from her, but she filed a petition to void the case.)
I guess I just didn't know what it means to leave and share everything with sick person(I hate to use this word but now I think it is a good description). She got pregnant and than we got merried. Acctually she was diagnosed with severe depresion and something else, bipolar disorder she developed after she (or we) had lost the baby.
I still love her and want to fix things between us. She is really sweet and innocent, and I understand and try to understand her. I think and hope this is all happening because she has gone through the very same situation with her first husband, who left her after the interview and now she is scared it can happend again. She doesn't trust me really any more, but I gave her no reason for that. SHe simply make up things (tells me that I lie all the time) to justify her decisions. Now I see how sick and terrified she is.
I'm shocked ( not the first time), but this time I'm also scared to death. I'm not worried if I dont get the GC, but I really don't want to be deported. I have nothing to come back to my country. I've been here for almost 10 years.
I don't think I can get the laywer on time; I will have only one day really (monday). The interview is on tuesday in the morning.
Sorry for all crap I wrote but I haven;t talked about it yet with anybody.
I hate to look at it from the law point of view but I guess I have no choice now.
Please... any suggestions, opinions, advices Thanks
Any

hello. well. if your wife dont wanna go to the interview.try all what it take go over there and when they call you in the room.tell the officer your wife cant make it this time coz she is sick or not around or whatever.they will rechedule another interview in few months and maybe by that time, she will cool off. but dont tell the officer anything bad about your relationship, good luck

On Monday, call the 800 number (make a note of who you speak to ) try to reschedule the interview due to your wife being under the weather- buy yourself some time.

thank you very much for the response. I will call in the morning and try to reschedule the appointment.
Thanks again

What would happen if my case is denied (I don't show up at the appointment)? I am in this country illegally (undocumented), my f1 visa expired years ago. Would I face a deportation? or immigration court?

roman, you are not consider illegal here since you have a pending I-485, means that you are in a pending adjustment of status.
If you don't show up at the appointment without previous notice of reschedule your case will be consider abandon and you could receive a notice that your case is denied and later on that you will be subject to removal, since you won't be in any status here.
