June 15, 2001 - Statistics on April and May’s Amended I-140 filings

There were 201 amended “successor- in- interest” petitions filed in April. To date, 54 have been approved. Receipt notices have been received for all but 8. Receipt notices are passed on to HR at the operating companies for distribution.
From this group 26 individuals have received their I-485 approval notice.
        
So far there have been no receipt notices or approvals for the 181 petitions filed during May. Two cases received their I-485 approval (no receipt or approval notice received for amended I-140 filed in early May).

deejjjaaaa, do you any chance know the list of id\'s that got approved for April and early May cases. It would be very useful if we start maintaining that list too. Just my 2 cents worth of thought.

deejjjaaaa, I assume the 1st column is the date GC approved and the second column is the Emp. ID and the 3rd column indicates the date amended I-140 approved. I prepared the following list for these Id\'s and I looked at our employee only immigration site and for most of the cases the amended I-140 got approved much ahead of the date on which it was filed as per our EOM. Either I am wrong in my assumption or you might have accidently cut and pasted wrong dates for the third column. Share your thoughts. Thanks!

Thanks for the info. Looks like there is a 2-3 days or a week difference between the actual date LD sent our amended I-140 to INS to that of the date they posted/updated the same in our EOM.

Guys, tell me one IT company worth it\'s name which does not provide a direct path to its immigration lawyers for employees who are in the GC process. All companies atleast provide an email access to their immigration lawyers. Has anyone tried talking to their immigration lawyers - the standard response is that they will not talk to us directly.

I am sorry I cannot join you in giving kudos to the LD of IGATE. They must demonstrate far more initiative and TRUE EMPLOYEE ORIENTATION (something which they sorely lack today) to really earn my kudos. As for the midnight oil part, well lets just say that it\'s tool little too late.

As for the HR reps - the less said the better. Their standard answer is that they are overworked and understaffed. Well, with all due respect folks, I don\'t think that is my problem. Let\'s all remember here that we as field consultants provide their revenues - we are the profit centers and they the cost centers. It follows therefore that they EXIST to SERVE US, not the other way around

Having said all this, there is one thing I want to thank the LD for - for not messing my GC process more than is absolutely neccesary. I know guys who were far ahead of me in the queue and who still haven\'t got their GC. And for this, I am truly thankful - to the LD, to the Lord Almighty and to VSC. And to my less fortunate brethren, like I always say - have faith, your prayers will be answered. And when they are, and when folks in IGATE see what\'s coming, trust me, they won\'t have a prayer!!!
