Complicated situation

I'm in the following situation :

- had a H1B visa, which expired March 2006
- married in December 2005, wife is USC
- together, we have a 6 years old daughter
- filed I-130 petition in January 2006. Approval came in March 2006
- got some problems and were thinking about here a divorce
- we stayed together and got all the papers together for I-485
- wife quit her job in January 2007. I'm sponsoring myself. I'm still working for my Belgian boss (get paid in Belgium).

Wife is afraid that it won't work to get my greencard. What can I expect ?

Even though you can use your own funds for the affidavit of support, you should try to find a co-sponsor with sufficient income. Or your wife needs to get a job.

Read the instructions for the I-864 very carefully.
