Technically (in the eyes of the USCIS) company A "brought you" here since you came on their Visa. I'm afraid you might have been out of status during Jan - May '99 and perhaps even later if the transfer is deemed invalid.

Please get qualified counsel right away to formulate a good response to the RFE, if one exists. These forums can only point you in some direction, usually not solve the problem for you.

It looks to me if you take this stance there is no recourse for you as you are deemed to be ou of status for these 5 months, and the transfer is invalid. Also this may amount to fraud. Looks like co. B played with you for their personal gains. So my friend be careful what you plan to do, because once you take a stand you cannot back out of it.
 
I understand..I am looking for different opinions and people's experiences who has already gone through this..
I know I can not take a stand of saying that Company B brought me here as it will trend to create more problems...
I am already in the process of contacting different lawyers and I will be updating you guys once the things move farward..
As of now , I personlly beleve that it may get rejected ..
