"Recommended for approval" usually means that the asylum officer has completed his/her review and approved the application and is waiting for supervisor concurrence, background security check, or other clearance in order to proceed with the final approval.
How did you know it was recommended approval first? Was it on your updated status? This is what I found out about my case through senator.
"Her case is undergoing final review prior to a decision being finalized on her case. We are unable to estimate when the review might be completed. Once it is, the decision will be finalized and served to her by mail"
