All,
I-485 approved on 06/03/2002 for my wife and me. Received approval notices in mail on 06/05/2002. Total green card process took 16 months (February 2001 ? June 2002). My details are as follows:

I-485 Notice date: 09/27/2001
I-485 Approval date: 06/03/2002
AP Approval date: 11/26/2001
EAD Approval date: 12/20/2001
Finger Printing Location: Santa Ana, Orange County
Finger Print Notice received on date: 11/29/2001
Finger Print Scheduled date: 12/15/2001
Finger Printing date: 11/30/2001
No RFE. Processing resumed on 01/12/2002 as per AVM. Updated to ?Case Approved? on 06/04/2002.
I had a strong feeling that I will get RFE. My wife was pregnant when we did our medical exams, my Skin test was positive (Chest X-Ray negative). Wife changed visa status 4 times after coming to USA from H4 ? F1 ? H1 ? H4. Company laid off close to 2,000 employees just weeks after we filed our I-485 applications.
IIO Calls:
Called IIO only once during the entire Green Card Process. Called on 05/31/2002, just 3 days before my approval. IIO told me that case is not assigned yet. Asked me to wait patiently as it may take few more months.
Called AVM 3 times a week (Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday at 11:00PM PST) for last 4 months.
This board was very helpful during the long I-140 waiting stage. Did get valuable information about Finger Printing process and Passport stamping. I am so used to checking discussions on this site, I will definitely visit this site in future. Wishing speedy approvals for all of you who are waiting.
Take care,
Company1
