Company\'s refusal to renew H1/H4 since we have EADs . Help needed.

My company is refusing to renew our H1/H4, which expires in May 2002. We do have our EAD\'s, and our RD at INS(N) is Feb\'01. What are the pros and cons ? Advise required.
 
You are in good shape

I think you do not need to renew your H1B, since your EAD is approved. Please make sure that you have AP. Your application will be nearing to completion in May\'02. With EAD you can change employer without employee\'s sponsorships.

But the problem is that he will be out of status if I485 is rejected since he is no longer H1.I think he better extend his H1 instead of using EAD.
 
Based on your Job situation

It\'s always good to have a back up for "What if" scenario. If you don\'t have a option, I think you are safe with EAD
