Company name change on HOLD cases re-opened

I just got off the phone with VSC. My case was put on HOLD for the past 5 months due to the company name change. I was advised by my attorney not to file an ammended I-140. Please dont ask me why. I dont know what he was thinking. Anyway, I was just informed by the IIO that my case has been re-opened as of the 19th (2 days ago).

I\'ve started to see some light at the end of the tunnel.

could you please your 485 ND ?
did your 140 and 485 have different name ? if not, how long after 485 filed
the name change occured ?

My 140 and 485 had the same name. Filed my 485 in sep\'99 and the company changed its name in dec\'99.

thanks for the reply, looks like VSC removed the hold for cases where the name
changed occured less than 180 days of filing 485.... Good News !
