Guys,
My company merged with its sister concern and my lawyer did'nt file I-140 amenedment, instead she submitted 2-page affidavit from company's Human resources-VP explainig the company re-organisation after the merger and about the Successor-in-interest (new company) taking over all Imiigration and Labor related liability from the old company. Is anyone out here sailing in the same boat or everybody has filed 140-amendment ? Please advise.
After the merger, I also had to change my H-1B , which I did and my lawyer attached the same affidavit, INS approved it without any RFE's, so am thinking may be this will suffice in 485 situation also ? but would appreciate any inputs on this topic from fellow members on this forum.
