Friends,
I had posted in one of the earlier discussions on this issue. I have established a line of communication with Mr Rajiv Khanna. I am listing the mail I sent to him. Please excuse me as I took some things for granted (as I think). He has replied quickly in the past and I hope I may get the reply by today. When I get I will post it, so please do watch for this particular discussion. The main point now is that we all need to be in a group on this issue as many of you also have suggested.
Here is my mail to Rajiv -
>Dear Sir,
> I am a regular participant/visitor of your websites
>particularly immigportal.com. A couple of weeks back I had written to
>you about the problem quite a few of us are facing with VSC where
>company name change cases/merger/acquisitions have been put on hold
>which is frustrating us to death.
>
>The way INS works it does not really look like our issue will be
>addressed by these regulations if at all they come out in the near
>future. Since many of us also have no notification from INS regarding
>applying a redo I -140 we have been told that it will sit in the queue
>for normal/new I-140 applications and no way help us. A little bit of
>advice from you is requested here.
>
>One of the ideas being floated on immgportal.com was that if you could
>represent us and talk to VSC regarding this hold on our I-485 cases for
>company merger/acquisition reasons. Ofcourse I am talking of a
>professional attorney/client relation and we all will pool together for
>it.
>
>Sir, if you think you can help us out here, we will be very grateful.
>
>Thanks

Good effort, but I am not sure how original this idea is...
Similar representations have been made by attorneys who represent a number of cients from a company that has undergone a name change. NONE of these representations have been successful. If a more focused effort like that did not work I fail to see how clubbing different co. name changes under one attroney would.
