company merged, can I go for H1 stamping?

I have I797 approval from company A and that was merged into another company B that took over all the liabilities and assets of company A. I have the legal paperwork stating that, including the names of the employees etc.

1. Can I go for H1 stamping with I-797 alongwith a latest letter from company B stating the merger etc?

2. Has anyone done this and does this raise any eyebrows at the consulate?

3. Has anyone used a copy instead of original I-797 for H1 stamping?

Please share you thoughts as my appointment is fast approaching in Mexico..

H1/H4 Revalidation in Mexico

Hi There,

Even i am in same situation as your my company A has merged in Company B. I am presently employee of Company B. But still i hold H1 petition for Company A. I want to get it revalidate and was thinking of mexico, please share your experience.

Awaiting your response.

PS: My company's lawyers said you need to carry press release and employment verification letter and you should be fine.
