Hi all!
It seems that the new company lost my hubby's AP when they received it from the former lawyer. Well, well I kind of don't believe they lost it... but it doesn't matter. Anyway he doesn't have the AP just approved.
Now, they said they are going to file I-824 for the BCIS to reissue another original.
My questions are:
1. Usually, for how long the APs are released?
2. Since I-824 takes more than a year now to be approved, wouldn't be wiser to just ignore the first AP and apply when the time supposedely comes (we haven't seen it so we don't know when it's off) for a second one?
Thanks.
I have some EAD concerns as well, but I'm going to post them later.

P.S. Can you sue the company for this?

---- AP is valid for 1 year
2. Since I-824 takes more than a year now to be approved, wouldn't be wiser to just ignore the first AP and apply when the time supposedely comes
--- No needs to file I-824 just send new AP application with form I-131, Pay the BCIS fees $110,2 photographs and attach the I-485 filing receipt (if you have I-140 filling receipt or I-140 approved copy then attach the copy of I-140 approval. Write clearly out side the envelope in bold “ FormI-131 for Advance Parole” make a cover letter and write what you have attached, sign it and provide your home address on cover letter and on I-131 form, you will receive AP at your home address. If they employer has lost the previous AP you can ask him to reimburse the filling fees$110 or forget the $110,your concern is to have valid AP with you.
(We haven't seen it so we don't know when it's off) for a second one?
Thanks.
