hi. i got a question
the company i work for is a whole subsidiary of a major corporation in chicago. but, my company is located in CA
is there any way i can apply through the main HQ in chicago, so it can go through illinois DOL instead of CA?
any tips or trick? thanks

also, one more question: how long is Illinois-illinois combo RIR nowadays?

Thanks

so in my case, parent company HQ in chicago and place i work is in CA, I will be able to apply LC in chicago, iL?

Difficult to say, I am not sure how BCIS looks at the relation of subsidiaries with its parent company (I believe in terms of legal/financial matters, subsidiaries are independent entities), so when you get GC through your parent company, you might have to get a job in the parent company, that would require your parent company to have a job which can match your resume... or more correctly, your resume should be matching the job requirements. The good thing about this would be that you can use your current experience to add up in your resume (You cant do that if you are filing from your current company), which could push you into EB2 category (if you are in EB3 and can add up your experiences to 5 years)

Then again, it is better to talk to a competent attorney on this matter.
