Company buyout

Hi,

My company A (with whom I am working on an H1-B visa) has been acquired by company B. They are willing to take over the temporary (H1-B) workers.

I have my H1B status and visa stamp until Nov 15 2006.

Would it cause me problems in POE (port of entry) if I were to travel to India and return with visa stamp and I-797 that had company A listed?

Has anyone gone through this? Is there any directive from the INS about these conditions?

I have a similar incident. My company name has been changed. My visa is carrying old name. At POE, officer asked me that "are you still working with same company". I said yes. No more questions asked.

So hope fully no problem in your case too. But you have to carry a letter from your company about acquire of the old company and you are being employed by them.
Don't tell them the new company name unless they ask you. If incase the officer at POE ask you, show them the letter.
