What happens when in a stage of Consulate Processing company is bought over and the new company continues the process

I have been through the same process. My company was acquired during the I140 process. My company (of through the lawyer) filed for an amendment, which is a simple process of filing the certificate of merger/acquisition. To be on the safe side my lawyer also filed the financials of the other company with which my company merged. In my case the I140 approval, despite all this, is in the the name of the old company. I am carrying enough documentation (like copies of all the material that was sent out to USCIS for them to make a note of the merger) along with me for CP.
 
Thanks for providing the information. The employment letter required for the interview should be from new company's name or old company's name . How old can be the employment letter

I am getting the notorized employment in the name of the new company and I am planning to get it only just before I leave for CP.

I concur with all of snm replies. Same was the situation with me and I did exactly same as what snm is suggesting and I got my GC via CP 9 months back....
