Comments for EVL. Is this format good enough?

I received an RFE asking for this:

Submit an original letter on company letterhead from your current employer stating your date of hire, duties, remuneration and prospect for continued employment.

My employer gave an EVL in the following format:

To Whom It May Concern:

Mig30 has worked for ABC Corp since November 17, 2003, and is currently on a long term assignment at XYZ Corp. as a Software Design Engineer in Test 3. Mig30 earns a rate of $N per hour and works a 40 hour work week.

His current duties are as follows:
1)...
2)...

My concern is if this format good enough? Do you think BCIS will be satisfied with this? Is it necessary to put the client XYZ Corp's name? Does it clearly say my prospects of continued employment?

Any comments would be appreciated....

Thanks,
Mig30

First, did you submit a letter from sponsoring employer stating that the position is "full time, indefinite, permanent" or using similar language? If not, then that is the reason for the RFE.
The format is not good enough. Use the terms mentioned above.

Actually, I haven't yet responded to the RFE. Sorry, I didn't make it clear. I think you thought that I have sent the EVL and that generated an RFE. I changed address and also my job and that must have caused the RFE.

Anyway, my current employer is not willing to change the format and use words like permanent, etc. So what are my options?

Let's say, I end up sending my EVL in this format. If I get unlucky & BCIS doesn't like it, what might happen? A new RFE or what?

Thanks,
Mig30

Address the letter to the 'Center Adjudications Officers, VSC'.

Make sure the letter states something like:
'...the prospect of continued employment is good/excellent, subject to satisfactory job performance and subject to the policies and procedures of XYZ Inc.'

Also, try not to mention $x per hour, salary should preferably be stated as $x per year.

Try and include a one-liner on what XYZ Inc does, and the purpose of the letter, i.e., 'Mr. You needs this letter as proof of financial support.'

Hope this helps.

You may loose the case .. remember .. there will be NO further RFE.

choose a lil from here.. " Mr.. has been working with us as a permanent employee in the capacity of ###, his salary is ( as per the LC ) .

The XXX company has a continued interest in having Mr. XXX after his GC approval.

long term assignment .. are you kidding me ... !!! Its only a permanent employee status required

Chekoo,

Are you sure that there won't be further RFE if BCIS is not satisfied with the EVL?

Thanks,

Mig30,

One thing you have to be very careful. Your current duties. As far as possible your current duties in the letter should match the duties submitted during Labor and also as Mavishka mentioned you don't have to specify $per hour. Usually it's $per annum.
